      I've rarely had apleasant experience renting atruck from this location. Iwas forced touse ittoday asother locations didn't have availability and continued that trend.

      Upon arrival the first employee Imet didn't seem toknow how self check-in worked and went twice tolook for akey before finding another member ofthe staff. The second employee told methat Ihad to“push the orange button” onmy phone. The “orange button” said “I have mykey now” and atthis point noone had found the ke

      y. Iasked ifhe had the key and herepeated that Ihad to“push the orange button” and then accused meof trying totell him how todo hisjob. Isaid that Ijust wanted toknow ifhe had located the key before Ipushed the button that said Ihad thekey. Hethen literally turned around and just walkedoff.

      Thankfully atthis point athird employee who was standing nearby saw melooking around inconfusion and said “he has the key” tome quietly (with alook that said “I have todeal with this all day”). Isaid “he does?” and the guy said “yes, hehas the key”. Ishrugged and pushed the orange button. The third employee then walked over tothe second employee and said “he pushed the button” but received ananswer that “I don't have time todeal withit.” Sothe third employee went and found the key and finally Iwas onmyway.

      Needless tosay, that was some pretty terrible customer service and Idid not come away happy. Even ifemployee the second was grumpy literally all hehad tosay was “yes, the key isover there” inanswer tomy query. Iguess hejust wanted toexercise some petty control over the situation orsomething. I'll begoing back tothe Takoma Park orHyattsville locations inthe future.

      I dowish Ihad gotten employee number three's name soI could have called and left arecommendation for him asthe only one who knew what hewas doing.

          Check-in was easy and quick. Iarrived about 30minutes early but mytruck was ready togo. Drop-off was similarly easy. I've rented from this location 3times and never had any issues.

                  They rented out our truck that was already reserved and did not have itavailable for pick upat the right time. Wescheduled our pickup for 7AM (self service/online pickup ona Sunday) and did not get the truck until8:30…and itwould have been 9if the employee onduty didn't help ushalf anhour before the store was meant toopen. Wewere travelling 11hours out ofstate and this set usback asignificant amount. Wehad even called the day before tomake sure this didn't happen…it did anyways. Would not recommend.– show

                      My phone's camera wasn't working when Itried tocheckout. The clerk, claiming tobe named Catherine, lectured meabout how Iwould need totake apicture ofmy license with acamera phone for 5minutes even though she had already agreed totake the picture forme. When Itold her Iwasn't interested inarguing with her she said she was changing myreservation toonline check inso Iwouldn't beable toget myvehicle. The manager got involved and took care ofit eventually. “Catherine” was incredibly angry, malicious, and actively trying toprevent this location from doing business.– show

                        I reserved for online check inso Iwouldn’t have towait inone ofUhaul d’s notoriously long lines. But itdidn’t matter, online check-in was not working which Ilearned after trying for 15minutes, soI had togo wait Inline for 42minutes. This kind ofshenanigan iswhat Uhaul isall about. Avoid like the plague.

                          I made areservation yesterday atthis location 1750Blandensburg NEWashingtonDC, the time topickup the truck was a9.00am, Ihad towait 10minutes doing atline and then itwas myturn,when they ask mefor myreservation number Igave itto them, and they told meyou're late, wegave the truck tosomeone else. Itreally sucks, why they made medo reservation and they just told meyou're late. Atthe end the guy was helpful and Ihad togo toanother location topickup another truck. Pleasebe more organized inthe website.– show

                            Lazy, unmotivated staff unwilling toeven dotheir basic job orprovide clear instructions. Good luck figuring out where toleave the truck ifyou return itafter they close.

                                U-Haul's website directed mehere topick upa 5' x8' trailer. Mycheck-in experience was excellent. The office staff were very friendly and efficient. The workers inthe equipment lot directed mequickly tothe correct trailer and attached the trailer expertly. They already had myother rental equipment inthe trailer. Ihad noissues with the trailer the entire time using itto move some furniture 300miles upI-95(much ofthat ina rain storm). Idefinitely would rent from this location again.– show

                                  Dropped myu-haul off and notified the staff that Idid aswell and they said they would take care ofit inthe morning. Next day Igot acall that they never checked itin. Lots ofextra complications with this location. Person that checks inthe trucks was unfriendly aswell and didn't really seem toknow what hewas doing. Calling the store isimpossible.

                                    This isnot relevant tothis location particularly, but rather toU-haul ingeneral. Itis frustrating tobe entrapped bythe advertising flaunting “as low as$19.95” whereas inreality all ofthe costs stack upand for just 3hours itwas over $70. The reservation process onthe website isannoying asyou need toconstantly refuse things that are being proposed for addition tothe purchase. Asto the location and personnel, the staff were very helpful.
