I love the atmosphere on Grand Valley's campus!! I can't say enough good things about campus life, the students, and the campus/university itself. Freshman housing is debatable, this last year they had a lot of overflow of students and did not have enough parking. But I love off-campus living, I've lived off-campus for four years now and it's been an amazing experience. You are close to everything you need and it's a very social atmosphere. I've always felt very safe in Allendale, walking around campus and even taking my dog out at night. I'm going into education and I believe they have some of the best professors/people in that department. they are so helpful and love/passionate about their jobs. They are caring and considerate of your time and want you to succeed in your own experiences. I recommend Grand Valley to all my friends, siblings, and cousins who have graduated high school.

I loved everything about my time at Grand Valley - the campus, students, professors, sports, clubs, etc. While Allendale didn't have much going on, you were a short bus ride away from downtown Grand Rapids, which is an incredible city. It's a big city that doesn't feel like a big city (ie. loud, dirty, crowded). If you went in the opposite direction from Allendale, you were a short drive from the beach! (Yes, we count it as a beach even though it's at a great lake rather than an ocean.) I highly recommend Grand Valley State!

One of the things that I enjoyed most about GVSU was the sense of camaraderie that permeated every aspect of campus life. Beyond academics, GVSU offered a wealth of extracurricular activities that allowed me to explore my interests and make a difference in the community. Whether I was volunteering with local organizations or participating in campus events, I found fulfillment in giving back and making a positive impact. As I reflect on my journey at GVSU, I am filled with gratitude for the experiences that shaped me into the person I am today. From the friendships I forged to the lessons I learned, every moment at GVSU was a stepping stone on my path to personal and academic growth. As I prepare to embark on the next chapter of my life, I carry with me the memories and lessons of my time at GVSU, forever grateful for the transformative impact it had on my life.
